Exploring the many faces of power in society, political science at Huron investigates the big political ideas and visions, world-transforming movements inspired by political ideals, the daily lives of political organizations, as well as the inner mechanisms of governments.

Across a variety of settings, from the local to the global, our courses investigate the human struggles associated with political conflict as well as the creative forces of political co-operation.

2016 Model NATO Conference

Congratulations to Huron Political Science students Charlie Echlin, Moustafa Ezz, Kendall O'Donnell and Trevor Wright, who attended the 2016 Model NATO conference at Carleton University from 18 - 21 February, 2016. Along with about 20 Western students, the Huron delegates took part in a series of realistic simulations, heard from keynote speakers and enjoyed a varied social program in Ottawa. The delegates are pictured here with The Hon. Harjit Singh Sajjan, Minister of National Defence. The event was sponsored by the Office of the Principal, HUCSC, and Huron's Department of Political Science.
