Below you will find links to some of the most often-used resources at Huron and Western.

  • OWL

  • OWL is Western University's online learning management system. It is home to official Western undergraduate and graduate courses, Western Continuing Studies courses, the Preceptor Education Program, and Human Resource courses, as well as independent, department, and group project work sites.
  • Verification Letter

  • A verification letter is an official document prepared and sealed by the Registrar's Office used for various purposes.

    Students who require proof of enrollment at Huron can request a verification letter.  A verification letter may be ordered through the Office of the Registrar, Room W34, or by completing the statement letter request form and faxing it to 519-438-3800 or emailing the form to huron@uwo.ca.

    What can they be used for?
    • Proof of current or past enrollment
    • Verification of upcoming graduation (regular processing only)
    • Visa letters (for international students, must be indicated on form)

    What can't we put on the letter?
    • Student grades (need to order a transcript or grade report through the Registrar's Office at UWO)
    • List of courses taken

    Information required to complete the form:
    • Full name and student number
    • Full or part-time status, academic career, and faculty
    • Daytime telephone number
    • Purpose of the Verification letter. For example, to confirm a student's enrolment, or graduation. (Please be detailed in regards to the purpose of the letter -- more is better!)
    • Number of copies, fax number (if applicable) and/or mailing address

    Fees and processing time:
    • $10.00 per copy (as of May 1st, 2014)
    • Completed in 4-5 business days
    • Extra $3.00 for faxing or mailing

    Fees are payable with VISA, Mastercard or with cash at W34 in the Registrar's Office.

    How Can I Verify My Degree Conferred?
    AuraData is a Canadian company specializing in secure online degree verification. AuraData will be able to verify online, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, the degree completion status of students who have graduated from Western within the last 20 years. Specifically, AuraData subscribers will be able to verify the following public information (as per Western's "Official Student Record Information Privacy Policy"):

    • Degree, diploma or certificate
    • Date of Convocation
    • Major, Minor, Specialization
    • Dean's Honor List or Graduate with Distinction achievements

    Any verification requests that cannot be matched based on the information provided by the subscriber will be referred back to Western's Office of the Registrar for follow-up.

  • Transcripts Page

  • All requests for official transcripts must be made through The University of Western Ontario Registrar's Office in the new Western Student Services Building, Room 1120.

  • Course and Prof Evaluations

  • To view results, an active UWO username and password is required. This information is the same as the login for your UWO email.

    Results may be searched by course, subject or professor by using the search bar at the top of the page. (Ctrl-F will bring up a search bar if one is not visible.)

    To access course evaluation results, please join "Huron Course Evaluations" by following the instructions below or emailing Lauren Hogg with a request to join.
    1. Go to owl.uwo.ca
    2. Log in using your Western ID and password
    3. From My Workspace, click the Membership button from the items listed on the left-hand side
    4. Click the "Joinable Sites" link (located in tabs under purple bar)
    5. Search for  "Huron Course Evaluations" in search box in upper right hand corner
    6. Click the "Join" link (under the "Huron Course Evaluations" listing

    The site will now be listed in your available sites (under "More Sites") or you can access the course here:
