HEP - May,2008
"Huron Excel Program" (HEP) is a one-day, leadership retreat for grade 11 students. The retreat allows students to learn from top leaders in academics, social services, business and student life.
Students have the chance not only to learn more of the opportunities university has to offer, but also how the education and skills they will acquire in university can lead to positions in leadership in all stages of life.
HEP's theme, "To Know. To Do. To Dare. To Dream.," allows a participant to experience four pillars of university: academics, volunteering, leadership, and student life.
"Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises." ~ Demosthenes
Participants will...
Learn from featured guest speakers who excel in Leadership and Volunteer Service.
Interact with Huron students who will help provide insight into university life.
Receive a Certificate of Completion from Huron University College.
The 2010 HEP Theme will focus on leadership for community change.
