FASS Committees

Standing Committees of FASS:

The Standing Committees of the Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASS) include the Educational Policy Committee ( a representative of each of the Departments or Programs, the Dean, the Associate Dean, and the Principal), the Research Committee (3 elected members, plus the Dean and the Principal ex officio), the Global Activities Committee (3 elected members plus the Principal, the Director of Writing and Cross-Cultural Services, the Director of Library and Information Technology, the Manager of Community-Based Learning and Career Development, and the Associate Dean, all ex officio, and chaired by the Associate Dean), the Admission Strategy and Retention Committee (3 elected members of faculty, two students, plus the Dean, Registrar and Principal ex officio), and the Teaching Awards Committee (three elected members of faculty).

There is also a Committee of Chairs that acts as an advisory body to the Dean, and the Promotion and Tenure Committee, which consists of five tenured faculty members.
