This year marked the 30th anniversary of the Huron Golf Classic, which raised a record $53,000. Thanks very much to the many alumni and friends of Huron who participated in this very special celebration, which took place at FireRock Golf Club in London on Friday, June 4, 2010.
The Huron Golf Classic has become one of London's premier tournaments thanks to the broad participation and generosity of alumni, friends and corporate sponsors, and is dedicated to the memory of Chuck Fenn, founder of the tournament. We were especially honoured to have Chuck's children Don, Dave and Jane and their families join us for this year's special anniversary celebration.
Proceeds from the tournament provide scholarship and bursary financial assistance for Huron students. Many thanks to all who made the 2010 tournament a success, with special thanks to this year's golf committee members: William A. G. Simpson (Chair), Jeff Aarssen, Kelly Hansen, Brad Riddoch, Ian Skaith, Mark Trinnear, Ramona Lumpkin, Neil Carruthers, Ken Andrews, Joe French and Darlene Whitfield.
