A four-year Honours B.A. Degree
A four-year program. An Honours B.A. Degree can be obtained when a Major in Economics is combined with a Major in another Arts or Social Science subject.
A Minor can be taken in conjunction with a Major to earn a four-year General Degree.
The Honours Specialization and Major Programs are designed for students who wish to combine their theoretical studies with applied work in the discipline. Students who have an interest in careers in business, commerce, finance, or government, often choose a program of study in Economics. The programs will also be of interest to students who plan to enter applied or professional programs after the earning a BA degree (e.g. Law, Business, Education, Journalism), as well as those who wish to work as professional economists.
The Minor in Economic Theory aims to provide students with an introduction to methods of economic analysis and to equip them with the analytical skills needed to examine a variety of social and economic problems.
