Web Registration

Fall Term 2010 for B.Th., MTS, and M.Div.

B.Th.

Your registration packages began to be mailed in mid-June. Please follow the directions in the packages.

M.Div./MTS

Your packages have been emailed out. Unfortunately delays delayed the registration process. Changes to the programs/courses, and the timetable are on-line now. Let us know, though, if you haven't received email instructions.

The timetable for 2010-2011 is available now on-line.

You will register this summer for courses in both fall and winter terms, although there are add/drop period in both terms for changes.

Dates for Web Registration

Web Registration ends August 8, but opens again between August 24 and September 12. This second registration period will work only for those who've already registered this summer. All others, after August 8, should use the paper add/drop forms available in the Theology office, rm A227 or in the Registrar's Office.

Hints & Help for On-line Registration

Master of Divinity and Master of Theological Studies students should be looking for courses that begin with "5," i.e., Biblical Studies 5110a. Courses that begin with 1-4 are for Bachelor's students.

When you set up your profile for this year, make sure you choose the "Undergrad" term, if you're an M.Div., MTS, or B.Th. student.

Students who began their M.Div. or MTS before Fall 2010, should consult this page for course equivalents, in light of the new curriculum.

If you're having technical problems registering for courses, please call the registrar's help desk at (519) 438-7224, ext. 203.

You may get a message that you "don't have the prerequisites to register for a course" in second term, but you have just added the prequisite to the first term! In this case, contact the registrar's help desk at ext. 203 (see above).

The religions of the East courses, are now open for business! Their "class numbers" are:
Relstud 5132a: 32234
Relstud 5133b: 32235.

Register on line for as many courses as you can. If you have problems with some because they are full or don't seem to exist, contact the Theology Office, and we will get you organised, even if it's past the on-line "deadline."

Paper Registration/Add-Drops

If you want to register or make changes to your courses when web registration is not running (see above), you can pick up an add/drop form from the Theology office. Complete the form, get the professor to sign you in/out of the course, and return it to the Faculty of Theology Office by the appropriate deadline.

Last Day to Add a Full Course or First-Term Half-Course

September 21, 2010

Last Day to Drop a First-Term Half-Course

October 15, 2010
(without academic penalty--dropping after this time will result in the course being marked as "Fail.")

Financial Implications of Adding/Dropping Courses

The above deadlines are for adding/dropping concern academic penalties. The refund of tuition is pro-rated weekly. Please see the Acounting Office regarding the schedule for refunding tuition. Once you add a 7th half course (3.5 course load) for the year, you will be considered "full-time" by the university and will be charged f-t tuition.

Student Centre

This site at the UWO Registrar's Office allows you to change your courses, look at your timetable, check your marks, change your address, etc.

Full-time vs. Part-time

Most Master's-level course are half-course (0.5 credit). Once you are registered for 7 half-courses throughout the school year, you are considered a full-time student and will be billed for full-time tuition. Keep this in mind while adding and dropping courses. The normal full-time load is 10 half-courses per year--5 half-courses each term. 6 or fewer half-courses per year make you a part-time student.

Failing to Register

If you fail to register in September without having the written approval of the Dean, you are regarded as having withdrawn from the program and you must re-apply for admission to the Faculty.
