Global Studies

Areas of study:

- Globalization Studies
- Global Development Studies
- Global Culture Studies

The Centre for Global Studies focuses on the interdisciplinary study of the practices, organizations, contexts and ideas through which people are increasingly establishing complex forms of interrelation, struggle and communication with one another on global scales. Courses in this program seek to provide students with:

· challenging and stimulating courses which encourage their development of critical skills in thinking, research and writing;

· a deeper knowledge of global issues;

· the ability for students to teach themselves about the world(s) and languages in which they live; and

· better understanding of the relations between theory, practice and power.

The modules offered within the Centre for Global Studies are programs that constantly evolve, allowing students to actively engage with the world around them through critical study.

New Dual Degree Program

Huron is pleased to announce a new combined program with the Richard Ivey School of Business. The new combined degree program will contain both an international experience and a second language requirement.
