What is a conditional offer of admission?
Conditional offers of admission are contingent upon the applicant meeting the following criteria:
a) successful completion of the OSSD (or equivalent from your province or state);
b) obtaining a minimum of 70% in 4U English (or equivalent from your province or state);
c) maintaining a minimum final average as stated in the offer of admission letter (including any required courses).
Applicants who do not meet any one of these conditions will have their offer of admission rescinded. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevented you from meeting these requirements, contact our Admission Office after your final exams.

Will I automatically be considered for an alternate program if I am not admitted to my first choice program?
Yes. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for the Management and Organizational Studies program will automatically be considered for admission to the Social Science program.
Up
What if my final grade falls below the minimum stated in my admission letter?
If your final grade falls below the minimum stated in the admission letter, your offer of admission will be rescinded.
Up
What if I repeat a course?
Huron will use the highest grade reported, without penalty.
Up
What if I have taken (or am currently taking) a correspondence, summer or night school course?
Your grades in these courses will be treated the same as your regular day courses and calculated in your average. If you are taking a correspondence or night school course do not assume that your high school will send us these grades. You will need to make sure that your interim/final grades are sent to the attention of the admissions office as soon as they are available.
Up
What if I fail a course?
If you have more than six 4U/M courses and your failed course is not a required course, the failed course will not impact your offer of admission. However, if the failed course is one of the six 4U/M courses you are presenting or is a required course, your offer of admission will be rescinded.

Will Huron consider summer school courses taken in the summer of 2013 for September 2013 admission?
Huron will not make conditional offers of admission based on the completion of a summer school course that you will be taking in the summer of 2013. However, should you take a course(s) required for admission to Huron during the summer, submit your final grade(s) and you will be re-assessed for admission based on availability of spaces in the program at that time.
Up
Is there a deadline to respond to an offer of admission?
Yes. Your response due date will be noted on your offer of admission.
Up
What if I accepted an offer of admission from another university but I want to change my mind and accept a different offer?
Submitting a new acceptance to the OUAC will cancel any previous acceptances. The new acceptance must be submitted to the OUAC by the deadline on your offer.
Up
When are entrance scholarships determined?
The automatic entrance scholarships are based on your final average and for most students will be determined in July, after we receive your final grades from your high school.
Up

How are Huron and Western related?
Huron University College is an affiliate of Western University. This means that Huron students have access to all of the facilities, health services, libraries, academic services, athletics and clubs that are offered to Western students while still enjoying the close-knit living and learning environment offered by Huron. Huron students can take up to 2.0 courses every year at Western and can even complete a double major with a Huron program and a Western program. In the end, Huron students graduate with a degree from Western University with a Huron distinction.
