    Yes, homeschooled applicants to Huron are evaluated for admission on an individual basis. Homeschooling can also be defined as unschooling, home-based learning, or alternative education.

    Note: You can also be considered as a homeschooled applicant if you have completed the six 4U/4M through a Provincially accredited and recognized secondary school but are not completing the full Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

    Do you offer scholarships to Homeschooled applicants?

    Scholarships reward academic excellence and Huron offers scholarships to homeschooled applicants on the basis of their portfolio and standardized testing scores.

    What do you require for admission consideration?

    A Transcript of Grades graded either by an independent homeschool agency or by your parent(s). The transcript should indicate the name of each course or subject covered, the grade received in each course and the duration of the course including the number of hours and weeks.
    Standardized Test Scores (such as SAT I, SAT II or ACT) to be sent directly to Huron from the applicable examination board. Our institution code for the

    A Portfolio including a brief description the method of homeschooling you have followed, an outline of your study plans for university and career aspirations, brief course descriptions and syllabi of the courses you have studied with a list of texts used, a copy of a graded essay (any topic in a subject at the grade 12 level) and résumé including any employment and volunteer experience. If you do not have a résumé, please indicate this experience in your cover letter.

    What programs can I be admitted to?

    Offers will be made to the Faculty of Arts and Social Science and the Faculty of Theology. If you wish to study Management and Organization Studies, please contact the admissions office directly for more information.
