International Exchange and Initiatives

Learning Beyond our Borders

Books and lectures can take you far, but Huron will take you further. Our students can experience international studies through exchanges with other universities around the world, work-study programs and volunteer placements. Whether you're participating in a volunteer development project in Honduras or Mediterranean Studies in Malta, Huron opens up a world of opportunity.

Exchanges

Huron University College has formal exchange agreements with universities around the world. Click below for more information on International exchanges.
International Exchanges

Huron in Honduras

This experiential learning opportunity is designed for students seeking a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, economic and political links among societies in a rapidly globalizing world. Designed and led by Huron Faculty, this program begins during the academic year with readings, preparatory seminars and language study concluding with a three-week stay in Honduras in May. Students stay with families in the town of Copain Ruinas, study Spanish in a local language school, take part in community development projects, work with small groups of children in arts projects and teach English.
